Though it’s been difficult to declare a winner during the awkward early stages of a new console generation, so far this year, the clear front-runner was Sony and its flagship gaming machine; the PlayStation 4. More impressive sales data was released by SCE, stating that over three million PS4s were sold in the first quarter of this year. This means that the console sold more this quarter than the last, where it shipped 2.4 million units. Worldwide, over 25 million PS4s have shipped since release.
