The game is a loving tribute to Barbie's video game history, combining a cozy DreamHouse decoration simulator with 16 enhanced classic Barbie games spanning from 1991 to 2007.

The core experience centers around Barbie's iconic DreamHouse, which players can customize using over 250 pieces of furniture, decor, and accessories inspired by real Barbie playsets throughout the decades. Players choose from three retro DreamHouse designs for their exterior facade, walls, and floors, and can even mix-and-match them from room to room. From a classic pink vanity to a '90s inflatable chair, the decoration options are extensive and deeply rooted in Barbie's 65-plus year history.

The 16 classic Barbie video games included in the collection have been enhanced to be accessible on modern consoles. The full list includes Barbie (1991, NES), Barbie: Game Girl (1992, Game Boy), Barbie: Super Model (1993, Genesis/SNES), Barbie: Vacation Adventure (previously unreleased, Genesis/SNES), Barbie: Race and Ride (1999, PS1), Barbie Super Sports (1999, PS1), Adventures with Barbie: Ocean Discovery (1999, GBC), Detective Barbie: The Mystery Cruise (2000, PS1), Barbie Fashion Pack Games (2000, GBC), Barbie: Pet Rescue (2001, GBC), Secret Agent Barbie: Royal Jewels Mission (2002, GBA), Barbie: Groovy Games (2002, GBA), Barbie: Gotta Have Games (2003, PS1), Barbie Horse Adventures: Blue Ribbon Race (2003, GBA), The Barbie Diaries: High School Mystery (2006, GBA), Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses (2006, GBA), and Barbie as the Island Princess (2007, GBA).

Notably, the collection includes the never-before-released Barbie: Vacation Adventure for Sega Genesis and SNES, making this compilation historically significant for game preservation.
