Just as you thought the PS4 already had an amazing selection of upcoming PS4 exclusives, Sony decided to add even more to the mix with their E3 conference. Here we take a look at five upcoming PS4 exclusives which are set to be amazing.
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Revealed at E3, any RPG fan is sure to be more than excited about this upcoming offering from Sony. After all, this new and minty fresh series is ready to take us all on an action packed journey. Aloy will be the main character, and some of her biggest obstacles will be the futuristic world that she lives in, with enemies being dinosaur-like robots. What’s more is that she’s only armed with a bow, however, Aloy is a professional hunter and the bow is her best friend. Horizon is set to take you on an emotional journey, but it’s your findings and discoveries which will help define the planet’s destiny. It’s the mixture of nature and futurism which sucks you into the world of Horizon – the role-playing genre is ready to be re-defined for PS4 gamers in 2016.
Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture
Where’s everybody gone? It’s your job to play detective within a classic British village, based in the idyllic county of Shropshire, and your mission is to discover why everyone in the village has disappeared. With a plot and location similar to Midsomer Murders, it has the perfect mix for you to indulge you curiosity and detective skills. As you roam throughout the environment, you’ll find waves of activity, which will signify a past event. It’s these events which will allow you to work things out, you’ll be presented with audio clips, clues that will help paint a picture (without revealing one). This game won’t be for the adrenalin junky, it’s for those who appreciate a slower based game which challenges you in ways most games can’t.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
It seems to be second nature for Naughtydog to produce award winning games, which is perhaps why Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is already expected to be crowned GOTY 2016. After all, this game is shaping up to be the complete package, from visuals to gameplay, it really does look jaw dropping.. Drake thought things were over, the days of action and drama were finished – he’d settled down with his wife Elena. However, Drake’s brother unexpectedly re-appears, and is ready to turn Drake’s peace into turmoil with an action-packed adventure. Expect alacrity, destruction, mayhem, and a punch to finalise the series as we know it.
Until Dawn
This game will be available weeks before Halloween (available at the end of August), perhaps perfect timing for a game that’s main aim is to scare the hell out of you. After all, it’s got the plot right out of a horror movie, and the setting caters for this perfectly… It’s party time for a bunch of college students, they’ve decided to head to the remote mountains where a log cabin is their home. However, the gorgeous setting slowly turns ugly as dawn turns into complete darkness. It’s your decisions which will determine how many of the eight college students survive when you realise that you aren’t alone. Sounds scary? Perhaps you should savour this title until October, after all, it sounds like Halloween material.
No Man’s Sky
Many games aim to over impress within the visuals category, however, nothing could be further from the truth with No Man’s Sky. Whilst you’ll find this game on PC, it’s a PS4 console exclusive. This game will look good in its own way, providing a cartoony feel. But, it’s the infinite universe that you’ll be able to explore which will make this game so special. Your spacecraft has the ability to take you anywhere you like within an infinite universe, taking you on a vacation of discoveries. Every planet is unique, from the terrain to the creatures – this is an explorers dream.
If these games didn’t tickle your fancy, which I am sure some did, we’ve all got loads more to choose from – The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII, Shenmue III – just to name three out of an entire upcoming catalogue.
