The VR headset (aka “Project Morpheus”)
Lastly, we come to the mysterious and now seemingly legendary “Project Morpheus” that Sony has put together. Basically, it is an attempt to create a better VR headset than the Oculus Rift folks, and that’s ok. As a corporation, Sony is known for going the extra mile and really sticking to an idea for years and decades if necessary to bring gamers something useful that they’ll love. In other words, anything that Sony creates that is carrying a VR moniker is sure to be excellent and offer an amazing gameplay experience. The main roadblock comes down to developers though, for if they don’t move to jump on the new technology and create games that utilize it then the entire point will be moot. However, assuming that one or more dynamite development studios do decide to take the VR project the next level then expect it to become the hottest modern console accessory to come around since the first Nintendo controller was invented.
No information is currently available concerning the release of the VR headset…
