Check out this PS4/Xbox One rip-off

What world is this, what is happening? Have we slipped into a land where Microsoft and Sony have put their differences aside and decided to make a console together? Well, no, we have instead moved to the land of China, where the games console has been banned for 15 years and where knock off goods are rife. Smartphones, clothes, guitars, and everything else you can think of can be bought knocked off and copied in China.

Including this beauty (I am using the term very loosely of course) you see above. If we were judging on originality then the “Ouye” consoles is a loser from the start, while it also falls flat in terms of performance. As you have probably seen by now, this is a clear rip off of Sony’s PlayStation 4 consoles, and a clear rip off of Microsoft’s Xbox One controller.

So, with those two 8th generation games machine providing the inspiration, this Chinese startup console should be a beast, after-all it combines the two right, right?

Wrong. A octa-core A80 processor is worse than what you have in a high end smartphone, so you can forget about firing up Metal Gear V in the coming weeks, although you should be set for a spot of Temple Run! At least this cheeky enterprise is not asking a lot of money, just $70/£45 will land you a Ouye, but we would suggest you leave your cash in your pocket.
